Network cabinets and racks are often confused with Server cabinets and racks. Routers, switches, patch panels, and the like are normally much shallower than servers. As such, Network Cabinets and Racks are normally not as deep as Server Cabinets and Racks. Also, networking gadgets often produce less heat than servers.
Despite how much some of my XDA colleagues have written about NAS and residential labs, I didn’t think I would ever get into these subjects. But, after many articles, and one specifically from Adam Conway (which I’ve linked below), I just lately bit the bullet and eventually set up a house lab and NAS for myself. One of the reasons I keep a house lab and constantly do projects is so my expertise aren’t trapped again in an earlier period. I’m all the time training up, at all times engaged on tasks to maintain my skills present and related.
